Supervision as a tool for professional support of early care employees

The bachelor's thesis deals with the possibilities of professional support, focusing in more detail on supervision. The work characterizes early care, the social worker and his activities, shows the problems that the social worker may encounter when providing early care. Furthermore, the work presents the possibilities of professional support - vocational training, mentoring, supervision and teambuilding. In more detail, thesis fosues on supervision and supervisor, it describes the goals, functions and model of supervision, it also deals with the prerequisites for successful ssupervision in the organization. At the end of the work, professional support and supervision are described using an example from practice. The results of a research probe are presented here, which ascertains the benefit of supervision for social workers of a specific organization.
Professional support of the teacher in providing experiential courses

The work deals with the topic of professional support of the teacher, while providing an experiential course. The aim of the thesis is to present selected possibilities of professional support for experiential pedagogues. Subsequently, a comparison with the practice of how to work with the methods in the Holiday School Lipnice. Within the work, the terms experiential pedagogy, pedagogue's personality, professional support and Lipnice Holiday School are described in more detail.
Mentoring novice teachers in Finland

This thesis introduces a topic of mentoring of novice teachers in Finland. The main goal is to analyse a novice teachers peer-group mentoring model as a case study of project Paedeia Café and evaluate its advantages and disadvantages in comparison to dyadic form of mentoring. Further, to bring ideas for implementation of Finnish experiences into Czech context. In theoretical part, we define mentoring in teaching profession, then we briefly introduce specifics of Finnish education system, peer-group mentoring and Paedeia Café. The research part analyses interview with mentors, novice teachers and manager of the project as well as participating observations. The results of the study show that Paedeia Café is a project which connects experienced teachers and students in last years of their studies. The advantages of the project are financial savings and creation of a space for discussion about professional issues. Disadvantages are more difficult structure, confusion of mentor's roles and low support in academic literature. In the Czech Republic, we can be inspired by a connection of experienced teachers and students, also by a space for sharing teaching profession experience in informal atmosphere. The needs of non-medical staff members in acute psychiatric care

The thesis is based on the needs of non-medical staff members in acute psychiatric care. The main aim of the thesis is to identify the needs of staff members and the relationship to their work. The theme is focussed on theoretical part and formed by information about the needs, motives and motivation in general within a working context. It further focuses on the branch of mental health care, describing the history of psychiatric nursing and current trends in psychiatric care. It then provides an analysis of specifics of psychiatric nursing and goes on to present the possibilities of professional support of the nursing staff. The practical part describes a qualitative study that aims on identification of needs of non-medical staff members working on acute psychiatric unit. The result of the study is formed by 23 identified domains of the needs implanted into the theoretical framework of Maslow's hierarchy of needs. In making recommendations for practise the author uses two attitudes for practical implementation of the results: 1. the results are rearranged into Herzberg's two factor model of motivation, 2. the mind map is used to capture the most dominant groups of needs and their mutual interferences.
